Acceptance

By using TempusGuessr (tempusguessr.com), you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site. The site is run by Cauldron Games, based in Brazil; contact: gamestudiocoven@gmail.com.

The service

TempusGuessr is a free website of daily trivia games, paid for by ads. Each game has a new challenge every day, which changes at midnight Brasília time (UTC−3). We may change, pause or end games and features at any time.

Account

You don’t need an account to play. Signing in with Google is optional and keeps your history across devices. You are responsible for the use of your account and can delete it whenever you want, from the account menu.

Fair play

You get one game per game per day. Anyone who breaks the rules below may have scores removed, their nickname changed, their account deleted or their access blocked. You may not:

• use bots, scripts or any automation to play or access the site;
• use several accounts, devices or browsers to replay a game or climb the ranking;
• exploit bugs in the site (if you find one, let us know);
• use a nickname that is offensive, discriminatory, impersonates someone else or reveals personal data;
• overload or attack the site, or copy the challenges and data in bulk.

Content and accuracy

Prices, events, births and inventions come from public sources (such as the Central Bank of Brazil, ANP, the FIPE table, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, The Economist and Wikidata), cited on each item. Texts are summaries written for the game, and prices are values of their time, not adjusted for inflation, sometimes averages or approximations. We do our best to get them right, but mistakes can happen: don’t use the content as an official source. If you find a mistake, let us know; we may correct items at any time.

Intellectual property

The TempusGuessr name, look, texts and code are ours. Third-party data belongs to its sources and follows their licenses (Wikidata data, for example, is in the public domain). Feel free to share your results and screenshots; you may not copy the site or republish the challenges.

Ads and links

The site shows third-party ads and links to the data sources. We don’t control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products or services.

Liability

The site is provided as is, with no guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost streaks or scores, or for decisions made based on the games’ content. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Important changes will be announced on the site; the date at the top shows the version in force. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
